We are excited to announce that Early Learning Multnomah is forming its Governance Council, and applications to join the Council are now open
The Governance Council provides strategic leadership, oversight, and accountability for Early Learning Multnomah, helping to ensure that children and families across Multnomah County have access to high-quality, equitable early learning opportunities. The Council will work in close partnership with the ELM Hub Director and United Way of the Columbia-Willamette to advance shared priorities and community impact.
The Department of Early Learning and Care encourages all Hubs to have representation from the following sectors:
- Health
- Early learning and care
- Public education
- Human services
- Housing
- Higher education and workforce development
- Business
- Parents or primary caregivers of children ages 0–6
- Members of federally recognized Tribes.
If you are committed to strengthening early learning systems that support children and families in Multnomah County, we encourage you to apply.
All interested candidates will be asked to complete an application and participate in an interview. Please submit your application by Friday, March 6, to be considered in the first round and join the Council in March. Applications will continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis after March 6 as openings remain.
